Let's Do Lunch

When we met on June 25th we talked about opening up our lunchtime meetings to other departments (not just Biochemistry) and inviting men who support women in science to attend. We also decided to design a schedule of seminars listing the women faculty that will be joining us in future meetings. This will be posted shortly, and updated as we invite more faculty members to attend.

Another issue discussed was the lack of support and resources for postdocs and we considered inviting an SGS (School of Graduate Studies) representative to a future meeting in order to raise awareness of these issues.

A couple of websites were recommended:
NatureJobs allows you to search for jobs and find out about science events, including current events and conferences.
Science: next wave is a weekly online publication that covers scientific training, career development, and the science job market.
